More New Witches

Halloween is getting soooooooo close. Halloween for me is really Sept. 29 for the fabulous Halloween and Vine show in Petaluma. But here is a preview of one of the new Cronies. I will have more photos of more witches this week. Enjoy.

Hi. My name is Charles Batte, pronounced "bat". I am a senior citizen who has enjoyed a long career in professional theater as a costumer. The last 20 years at San Francisco Opera. About 15 years ago I began making art dolls, first as a hobby and then professionally. My work has appeared in museums and art galleries around the US: New York City, Santa Fe, San Diego, Kansas. Many magazines in the US have featured my work over the years, as well as magazines in Europe and Japan. My work keeps growing and changing over the years. Some artists love to mine one idea continuously, but I am one that likes to explore each idea that links one idea to the next idea and so on.
